Writing is the lodestar of my life and career. For over a decade, I’ve made human stories the focus using compassionate observation and piquant prose to find meaning. Through essays, profiles, unscripted series, podcasts, and film, I’ve remained committed to celebrating differences as a means of uniting our purpose: finding finite moments that bridge the mortal project to the infinite one.

2023 – 2026
At Axios Local, I led a team of social media reporters and editors who grew their communities from within. Rather than obeying trends and chasing influence, we built vivid emotional maps of cities, making their inherent bonds visible. In its best form, the daily coverage glorified understated leaders, questioned politicians, and salvaged beloved restaurants. Consistent presence and empathetic storytelling created steady growth from the ground up.
Tastemade
2021
As the Creative Director of Tastemade Travel, I charted the brand voice of adventure just as the world was opening back up. On the heels of global pandemic, no one knew what travel meant or if it would ever be the same. But working with indie creators and dedicated chefs blessed us with an opportunity to tour global street food and put locales back in the hands of their stewards. I produced and directed four series available everywhere and I’m still surprised they got made under such strict limits.

2020 - 2021
Imagine holding the keys to the world’s biggest streaming library of standup comedy. What started out as a fun agency gig turned into an experiment in the importance of infusing joy in fans’ lives during a social uprising of unimaginable stakes. We built a team of video editors, writers, and hosts who helped reset the cultural mood and remind people of how close laughter is to pain. The best edits reminded millions of people how this makes us whole.

At BET, The Daily Beast, Okayplayer, and Medium, I’ve written essays, newsletters, and commentary about race, masculinity, class struggle, and love. I find where two or more of those topics meet at the uneasy crossroads of history and write into the potent, transformative contrast.
